"Dolly" Turntable
Running Gear

Some JOSKIN models are equipped with a "Dolly" turntable. This hybrid solution combines the advantages of a trailer with turntable (with a 360° steering angle) with those of a vehicle with "rigid drawbar" (weight at the eyelet, thus load transfer).

The Tetraliner RL are equipped as standard with 3-axle air suspension that provides comfort and stability

Bolted Single Axle
Running Gear

Most JOSKIN single axle vehicles have a bolted axle. The running gear can thus be easily moved when a change in load (eyelet weight/axle weight ratio) is required, especially when a rear implement is added to the original machine (e.g. slurry tanker with injector, tipping trailer with grain auger, etc.). The bolted axle also makes it easier to change tyres.

Cross-Over Bogie
Running Gear

The double-axle running gear with "Cross-Over" bogie offers, thanks to its design, a complementary suspension system to the wheels as well as a larger contact surface with the ground. It consists of 2 axles connected by parabolic leaves and is bolted to the chassis by what is commonly known as "the table", a large support that balances and distributes the loads in an optimal way.The advantages of the Roll-Over bogie are kept, even if the axles are located under the leaves. This particular design provides the running gear with a more significant ground clearance. That is why this system is advised in case of intensive use on uneven ground (for instance for construction tipping trailers) where the user is often confronted with clearance problems. With its maximum clearance of 240 mm, it can absorb the irregularities in the terrain. Thanks to the position of the cross-axis under the spring leaves and the position of the axles under the ends of these same leaves, a pull line pushes the front axle over the obstacle. The required traction power is therefore reduced. JOSKIN assembles its own bogies, which means that they can be made to measure for your vehicle. The distance between the axles and therefore the length of the leaves can be adapted to each machine, e.g. according to the choice of tyres. All JOSKIN “Cross-Over” bogies are bolted and therefore movable.

Hydro-Pendul
Running Gear

On the Hydro-Pendul hydraulic suspension, each axle is mounted on two double-acting hydraulic rams (one on each side of the chassis). The axle is connected to the chassis by a triangular structure of large-diameter tubes, the end of which is attached to a large knee-joint with a vertical axis that ensures a great stability of the running gear. On the Hydro-Pendul of a tipping trailer, you can secure your tipping operation with the option "tipping stabiliser". The concept is simply to lock the hydraulic rams of the suspension so that they remain perfectly stable.

The JOSKIN Hydro-Tandem and Hydro-Tridem running gears combine simplicity, reliability, high clearance and stability. The vehicle can indeed be easily pulled over any obstacle thanks to its semi-independent axle concept. The vehicle is pulled by leaves attached to an element under the chassis, which is itself located in front of each axle, thus offering a large clearance of up to 250 mm. The working principle of this suspension is based on the law of the communicating vessels. Only the hydraulic rams on the same side are connected to each other in a closed circuit. The independence of the circuits on both sides of the vehicle, combined with the fact that the oil is incompressible, ensures a perfect lateral stability. As a result, the vehicle is less likely to tilt in bends and on hills. Moreover, thanks to this design, the pressure transmitted to the ground is perfectly distributed between all the wheels, which also spares the soil structure.

The vehicles equipped with a Hydro-Tandem or Hydro-Tridem running gear can be delivered with an automatic height-adjustment: this system allows the suspension to be easily calibrated in "road" configuration after passing under a bridge, a tunnel, after maintenance work, etc., for which it is normally necessary to lower the suspension of the running gear to the stop.

(only on tandem) and anti-fall safety

Rocker Beam
Running Gear

The rocker beam is available as an option on the larger double-axle Trans-KTP models. It consists of two large boxes made of 300 x 300 x 12.5 mm tubular sections, each supporting two half-axles. They are built around a central axis mounted on bushes with grease nipples and a one-piece table bolted to the chassis. The rocker beam is the most economical and robust type of running gear for double-axle trailers. It adapts perfectly to difficult terrain conditions, while providing a maximum tipping stability (no suspension settling effect).

Roll-Over Bogie
Running Gear

The double-axle running gear with "Roll-Over" bogie offers, thanks to its design, a complementary suspension system to the wheels as well as a larger contact surface with the ground. It consists of 2 axles connected by parabolic leaves and is bolted to the chassis by what is commonly known as "the table", a large support that balances and distributes the loads in an optimal way. With its maximum clearance of 240 mm, it can absorb the irregularities in the terrain. Thanks to the position of the cross-axis under the spring leaves and the position of the axles above the ends of these same leaves, a pull line pushes the front axle over the obstacle. The advantages of this design are manifold: in addition to a lower centre of gravity and thus a better stability, the required traction power is significantly reduced. JOSKIN assembles its own bogies, which means that they can be made to measure for your vehicle. The distance between the axles and therefore the length of the leaves can be adapted to each machine, e.g. according to the choice of tyres. All JOSKIN “Roll-Over” bogies are bolted and therefore movable.

TetraX2 Running Gear
Running Gear

The running gear of the TetraX2 includes 4 wheels side by side (2.6 m wide ground contact), which reduces the pressure on the ground to a minimum and thus better respects its structure. It is also possible to reuse used tractor wheels. In addition to reducing costs, these tyres will not leave any marks on your grassland (low profile). Both pairs of wheels have a horizontal swinging movement ensuring security and stability in bends.

The "tandem with rods" is the simplest and most economical running gear. Its low centre of gravity is one of its many advantages. However, its obstacle-clearing potential remains relatively low, given its modest clearance (+/- 80 mm). The required traction power (and therefore the fuel consumption) also remains higher than with other running gears developed by JOSKIN.

The "tridem with rods" is the simplest and most economical running gear. Its low centre of gravity is one of its many advantages. However, its obstacle-clearing potential remains relatively low, given its modest clearance (+/- 80mm). The required traction power (and therefore the fuel consumption) also remains higher than with other running gears developed by JOSKIN.
