Vertical Beaters
The Ferti-CAP is the entry model of the JOSKIN range of muck spreaders with wide body. Together with its big brother, the Ferti-SPACE2, it unites the principles that led to the very concept of this type of machine: lightness, sturdiness and easy maintenance. Both durable and extremely maneuverable, the Ferti-CAP also proves to be economical, both from a budgetary and energy point of view. Thanks to the wide body with bolted spreading table, it can easily be converted into a silage trailer. In short: a real multi-talent!
The monocoque body of the Ferti-CAP as well as various other components, such as the drawbar and the beater frame, are made of high tensile steel. This steel is characterised by its resistance and dynamic properties. It is thereby not necessary to add any body side reinforcements and it offers a considerably reduced empty weight. For a maximum protection and a higher durability, most components of the Ferti-CAP are hot-dip galvanised (by the galvanising plant of the JOSKIN group). Zinc penetrates into the metal during the galvanising process, protecting against scratches caused by tree branches or other factors. The few elements that cannot be galvanised due to the steel type (including HARDOX) are protected by a 2K paint of high industrial quality.
The body in high tensile steel (grade 550) is made up of successive folds and has a very sturdy rectangular upper strip. With 810-mm high side walls and depending on the model, it has a loading capacity from 6.91 m³ to 12.29 m³ (+ possibility to add extensions). The moving floor of the Ferti-CAP consists of 2 Ø 14 mm marine chains with grade 80 (the highest grade in traction chains currently available) welded to slats with closed profiles. It moves on a bolted galvanised floor, which can be replaced easily in case of wear. This moving floor is fitted with side tensioners that are easily accessible. In this way, its body forms a straight channel leading the manure towards the beaters. Being wider (inside and outside) than the body, the spreading unit allows the product to expand before being ejected by the beaters.
All Ferti-CAP muck spreaders are standard fitted with a cross-suspension drawbar with parabolic leaves. Not only does this system offers an unmatched driving comfort, even at high speeds, but it also makes it possible to keep the traction line continuous without deformation. Thanks to this solution, the operator can drive at higher speeds (40 km/h), regardless of the terrain conditions.
The oversized axle of the Ferti-CAP is bolted under the monocoque body. Since the axle can be moved, it allows a perfect balance with sufficient weight on the eyelet, regardless of the tyre configuration. This assembly and an assembly with wheels with a larger diameter are therefore made possible without having to touch the hydraulic motor of the moving floor or other elements. The eyelet is also bolted and can therefore be changed at any time without having to modify the structural elements. The double-axle Ferti-CAP muck spreaders are standard fitted with a Roll-Over bogie bolted under the body, which can therefore be easily moved. All Ferti-CAP models are equipped as a standard with double-circuit air brakes. It is however possible to get hydraulic or dual brakes as an option.
The spreading width of the Ferti-CAP usually varies from 7 to 12 m, depending on the products to be spread. To achieve it, the two vertical beaters with 3 spirals (of 1,500 mm high) rotate at a speed of 423 rpm and project the material to be spread by means of the bolted HARDOX 450 teeth (80 x 60 mm). Two discs (Ø 1,140 mm) with fixed blades are located under the beaters to project material. The flow per hectare is adjusted easily by combining the speed of the tractor with that of the moving floor (thanks to the potentiometer within reach of the cab). In this regard, a galvanised guillotine door (option) can also help. The beaters are driven on the tractor side by a Walterscheid P.T.O.-shaft with shear bolt security. The shaft drives the gearbox at 1,000 rpm, to which the two beaters are coupled. The spreading unit is very high and ensures an easy passage and crumbling of any potential dome of material in the body.
