Vertical Beaters
The Ferti-SPACE2 is the flagship product of the range of JOSKIN muck spreaders with wide body. Together with its small brother, the Ferti-Cap, it unites the principles that led to the very concept of this type of machine: lightness, sturdiness and easy maintenance. Both durable and extremely maneuverable, the Ferti-SPACE2 also proves to be economical, both from a budgetary and energy point of view. Thanks to the wide body with bolted spreading table, it can easily be converted into a silage trailer. In short: a real multi-talent in XL version!
The monocoque body of the Ferti-SPACE2 as well as various other components, such as the drawbar and the beater frame, are made of high tensile steel. This steel is characterised by its resistance and dynamic properties. It is thereby not necessary to add any body side reinforcements and it offers a considerably reduced empty weight. For maximum protection and therefore an increased durability, the Ferti-SPACE2 is also treated with a 2K industrial paint.
Depending on the Ferti-SPACE2 model, the side walls are 1,050 mm or 1,350 mm high, for a loading capacity from 12.32 m³ to 25.20 m³ (+ possibility to add extensions).
The moving floor of the Ferti-SPACE2 consists of 4 Ø 14 mm marine chains with grade 80 (the highest grade in traction chains currently available) bolted to slats with (galvanised) closed profiles. It moves on a bolted galvanised floor, which can be replaced easily in case of wear. Under the Ferti-SPACE2 body there is a central corridor housing the hydraulic pipes as well as the electrical wiring in order to protect them from any contact with the transported material. In this way, the entire Ferti-SPACE2 body forms a straight channel leading the manure towards the beaters. Being wider (inside and outside) than the body, the spreading device allows the product to expand before being ejected by the beaters.
All Ferti-SPACE2 muck spreaders are standard fitted with a drawbar suspension with silent-blocks. This system absorbs shocks and vibrations, and provides extra comfort to the user. As an option, this suspension can be replaced by a hydropneumatic drawbar.
The running gear of the Ferti-SPACE2 muck spreaders is made of oversized axles for an optimal durability through time and a powerful braking power, which is particularly suitable for high driving speeds (up to 60 km/h). Whatever the running gear type fitted on the muck spreader (JOSKIN Roll-Over bogie or Hydro-Tandem/Tridem), it is always bolted under the body. Since it can be moved, it allows to always keep a perfect balance with sufficient weight on the eyelet, regardless of the tyre configuration. This assembly or an assembly with wheels with a larger diameter is possible without any negative impact on the load distribution. The eyelet is also bolted and can therefore be changed at any time without having to modify the structural elements.
All Ferti-SPACE2 muck spreaders are standard fitted with double-circuit air brakes. As an option, it is possible to get hydraulic or dual brakes.
The spreading width varies from 8 to 16 m, depending on the products to be spread. To achieve it, the two vertical beaters with 4 spirals (of 1,830 mm high on models from FS5511 to FS7011 and 2,080 mm on FS7014) rotate at a speed of 423 rpm and project the material to be spread by means of their bolted teeth in 400HB steel (80 x 60 mm). Two discs (Ø 1,000 mm - on HARDOX protection plate) with 3 fixed blades are located under the beaters to project material.
The flow per hectare is adjusted easily by combining the speed of the tractor with that of the moving floor (thanks to the potentiometer within reach of the cab). In this regard, a galvanised guillotine door (option) can also help. The beaters are driven by a wide-angle Walterscheid P.T.O.-shaft with overrunning clutch on the tractor side and cam security on the beaters side. The shaft drives the gearbox at 1,000 rpm, to which the two beaters are coupled (elastomer protection). The beaters are oversized in height and ensure an easy passage and crumbling of any potential dome of material in the body.
Your Ferti-SPACE2 muck spreader can be fitted with the modernest electronic equipment. This allows you to replace and/or complete the constant pressure flow regulator with the modernest control boxes (option): the Ferti-Control 4000, for instance, will give you access to the electric control of the moving floor drive, a reverser of the moving floor direction, a control for the spreader hydraulics, the coupling of a DPA system and much more. Depending on your needs, you can also equip your muck spreader with a static or dynamic weighing system with digital display in the cab, an Isobus control box, GPS tracking, etc. "Everything" is possible.
