The Belgian company JOSKIN, which is specialized in agricultural trailers as well as in slurry and muck spreaders, extends its range of slurry injectors with a new model fitted with discs.
The Terradisc is available with a working width from 4 to 6m. It includes 32 to 48 discs with a diameter of 510mm which are bolted to the chassis on two rows.
The first one will open the ground. Slurry then goes through the injection pipes which are located between the discs of the first row in order to be laid down in these openings. The second row of discs, which is positioned in the opposite direction, cover up the slurry and flattens the ground.
The discs are mounted individually on an axis with a plastic bearing, which allows them to avoid obstacles since they will move a little upwards. The Terradisc is fully galvanized.
The advantages of this system are a fast en efficient injection of slurry up to 18cm deep (adjustable per stage) as well as an outstanding stubble ploughing quality. Furthermore, it is possible to work at high speed with almost no loss of nutrients. Finally, the compactness of this machine provides it with a favourable center of gravity.
The Terradisc is available on the JOSKIN Quadra, X-Trem, Volumetra, Euroliner and Vacu-Cargo slurry tankers.
