Slurry day in Süplingen

The LVA agricultural machinery company Altenweddingen and the JOSKIN company jointly organized a "slurry day" on 17th June 2015 in Süplingen (Saxony-Anhalt). Under a radiant sun, the event attracted almost 70 visitors on VS Dairy KG's site. After the visitors had strengthened themselves, they could attend a demonstration of the latest John Deere 6R and 7R Series tractors with JOSKIN slurry tankers. Then, they had the opportunity to see a Volumetra 18500 L fitted with a Solodisc disc injector as well as a Tetrax2 14000L fitted with a Pendislide boom in action during a digestate spreading demonstration.

Besides the technology itself, the political framework conditions are very important as well for the application and storage of organic manure. Mrs Heike Schimpf of the Bernburg Institute for Agriculture, Forestry and Horticulture spoke about this in her speech that focused on the new German Fertilizer Ordinance. Many visitors' questions and the discussion that followed showed how important and topical this issue is for farmers. Due to the success of this event, the next edition is already scheduled for 2016.
