Livestock Farmers Visiting JOSKIN

On 10th September, the JOSKIN company welcomed in Soumagne (Belgium) a group of Irish and Belgian livestock farmers, accompanied by Dr. Collard (chairman of the Walloon Breeding Association) and John Mc Namara (chairman of TEAGASC, Irish Agriculture and Food Development Authority).

After an instructive factory tour – both regarding the technologies and manufacturing process as the innovations in the spreading area – the farmers were particularly interested by the JOSKIN slurry injection techniques. Caroline Metz, technical sales representative for Ireland at JOSKIN, explains: "Through the factory tour, the farmers were able to see for themselves JOSKIN's lead in the area of agricultural machinery manufacturing due to the standardization and series production. One element of our tools in particular has attracted the attention of Mr Mc Namara: our macerator with its "Scalper" patented system allowing to cut with self-sharpening cutting discs all foreign bodies before the material is distributed into the hoses. "

To conclude, the visitors attended a demonstration at a local farmer where they could exchange their points of view but especially see the last step of the manufacturing process of a JOSKIN machine: the work in the field.
