After a delayed start, the construction work of the new JOSKIN ESA factory in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg is now well underway.
As the plot chosen for this project was located on two communes – Sanem and Esch-sur-Alzette – the number of building permits required was doubled, delaying the start of the project until December 2023, almost a year after the estimated date.
With the erection of the west hall framework complete and the Hebel panel cladding well underway, teams are now busy installing the roofing sheets. Insulation and waterproofing work is due to start in mid-June.
The completion of the building construction (covered, closed and paved buildings) is scheduled for the end of October 2024, and the start of the installation of the major equipment (surface treatment line) is scheduled for January 2025. As a result, the factory is scheduled to be commissioned in the 3rd quarter of 2025.
As a reminder, this new 15,800 m² site, built on a 6.2 ha plot (including 1.4 ha of green space), will house the assembly of large monocoque tipping trailers and a range of JOSKIN muck spreaders.
The structural work on the Luxembourg site is being carried out by Ramaekers Construction, a Walloon construction company based in Chimay, with whom JOSKIN has already worked many times, notably in Soumagne, Poland and France.
